Chewy Part 2!
This month, Cali received her favorite box once again! For those of you that are not familiar with Chewy, they are becoming the largest pet retailer in the world with the most satisfied customers.
June was a month for trying new things. We did just that. This time, we ordered Cali the Nulo Freestyle Grain-Free Turkey Recipe With Cranberries Jerky Dog Treats, 5oz bag. We also picked the Holistic Select Adult & Puppy Health Salmon, Anchovy & Sardine Meal Recipe Grain-Free Dry Dog Food. The best part about both of these products is that we received them in just a couple of days! Cali loved these treats and shocking enough, she learned how to sit because of Chewy’s treats!
A little bit about the jerky dog treats are that they are soft. Perfect for dogs that don’t like crunchy treats and have a hard time chewing. These are also easy on the stomach and perfect for training purposes.
Cali was having a bit of problems with her digestive tract and the vet had changed her food and wanted to make sure she was receiving the antibiotics that she needed. These treats helped support her immune health as well as her digestive health. This treat is outstanding for those of you that are looking for treats made in the USA. This treat did just that. In fact, the packaging has a velcro lining at the top so opening and closing the bag is as easy as ever.
According to Chewy’s website, the Holistic Select Grain-Free Adult & Puppy Health Salmon, Anchovy & Sardine Meal Recipe is formulated with a unique Digestive Health Support System, including active probiotics, healthy fiber and digestive enzymes. When combined with the other high quality, natural ingredients, this recipe supports the absorption and utilization of vital nutrients throughout your dog’s entire body. Your dog will look and feel healthy from the inside out.
These are essential and vital to Cali and her health. She truly loves both products and each time I pull the bag out she comes running. I was very surprised by the treats because they really do help when training Cali. As you know, Shiba Inu’s are very stubborn and are supposedly “hard to train” dogs. Cali has had no problem learning her basic commands and she does so with positive reinforcement. I can always count on Chewy to provide us with the best products for her needs.
When Cali is healthy enough to come off of her special digestive food, we will look into other options. However, there might not be a guarantee that she will be able to try other foods considering her digestive health is extremely important. A note for anyone looking into other food options for your dog make sure you change foods gradually. Make sure you’re not just switching over right away. Slowly add some of the new food in with the old food to avoid your dog from reacting negatively to the change.
As always, Cali is on the lookout for more followers as you share her journey with us. You can find her on Instagram at: Calitheshibainu
Until next time, we cannot wait to see what next month holds. After all, she is a curious breed!
I received these items free of charge from Chewy.com in exchange for my honest review.
